La festa d'aprile, si celebra, sin dal 1691, l'ultima domenica di aprile. E' la manifestazione principale, solenne, la più importante di Castellana e si svolge tra suoni di varie bande, sforzosa illuminazione e accensioni di fuochi pirotecnici. Essendo una delle prime feste della zona è molto seguita dai comitati delle feste patronali dei paesi limitrofi. Vengono a rendersi conto delle novità che offre il mercato.
